Transylvania Youth Strings and His Purpose Ministries have linked arms to provide a wonderful strings program for our Homeschool Community!  After meeting and working together we are incredibly excited to realize that the Lord brought us together and has worked all things together for the purposes that He has burdened each of us with. 

This program will begin in the fall:  complete calendar below. 

We will meet in the His Purpose Ministries Building:  details of the building will follow.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be the group meeting days.  Cost is minimal and each semester will culminate with a recital.  These groups will be the first members of the Transylvania Youth Strings Orchestra of the future. 

Those of you who have been a part of the Transylvania Youth Orchestra in the past are familiar with Ellen who is the Director/Founder of the new strings program.  After deciding to work together she has asked that I send the information on to you. 

The schedule for the fall and spring semesters will be:

Tuesdays 12:00 - 1:00  Suzuki Violin 3 years of age to 3rd grade $ 20 a month
Thursdays 12:00 - 1:00  Guitar and mandolin 3rd grade and above $10 a month
Tuesdays/Thursdays 1:00 - 2:00  Intermediate strings:  violin, viola, bass and cello $20 mth
Tuesdays/Thursdays 2:00 - 3:00  Beginner strings:  violin, viola, bass and cello $20 month

In the beginning of the program we will be responsible for rental or purchase of our own instruments, though Ellen will give recommendations and we can certainly help one another. 

As you can see this is a great opportunity for our community and we are very blessed in this partnership.  As with each class that we are able to offer through His Purpose Ministries there will be a fee of $1 per student upon entering the building each day.
